WELCOME TO ST. ATHANASIUS SCHOOL
Our diverse curriculum, dedicated faculty, and many traditions make St. Athanasius an engaged and passionate community. Our graduates are well-prepared for high school, gaining acceptance into some of the top schools and programs in the area. Outside of class, our students thrive in academic, athletic, and service-driven activities to diversify and enhance their elementary and middle school years.

~75% of our students achieve academic honors in high school; many graduates continue to participate in service, social justice and leadership activities beyond St. A’s.

OUR MISSION
Christ was made like us so that we might be made like God. This is a quote from our patron Saint Athanasius and shapes our mission in the school. At St. Athanasius, our mission is to provide a Catholic education that nurtures the whole child. We believe in fostering the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional growth of each student. Our goal is to prepare our students for a lifetime of learning and to instill in them a love of God and a sense of service to others.
OUR HISTORY
St. Athanasius School was founded in the early 1900s by a group of dedicated Catholic educators who saw the need for a Catholic school in Evanston. Since then, we have been providing a high-quality education to children in the area. Our mission is to instill in our students a love of learning and a strong sense of faith. We are proud of our long history of serving the Evanston community and look forward to continuing to provide excellent education for years to come.
