BE A PART OF ST. ATHANASIUS SCHOOL
We are a Catholic school community-based in Evanston, serving families from north Chicago and the North Shore. We welcome all applicants for enrollment in Preschool - 8th grade.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

​St. Athanasius welcomes all applicants. Students must be three years old and potty trained by September 1st for preschool, and five years old by September 1st to enter Kindergarten.

Inquiries about admission to St. Athanasius can be directed to our Admissions Director, Shannon Valko, by emailing admissions@saintas.net. We can arrange a call or tour of the school to begin the process of learning more about the St. Athanasius school community.

SUBMIT APPLICATION
Submit an application by March 1st, 2025. St. Athanasius does accept applications year-round; however, our early admission period ends on March 1st, 2025. At that time our decisions are made on class numbers and we only enroll to the remaining class capacity.

SHADOW DAY
After we receive your application, during the month of February and March, our Admissions Director will be in touch to set up a shadow day at St. Athanasius. The shadow day includes spending time in the class with students and teachers, a brief assessment, and a short meeting with our principal, Kelly Foyle.

2nd-8th grade: Full-day shadow required

Preschool-1st grade will receive a separate opportunity to do a group playgroup with teachers before the end of this year. ​

DECISION
Our admissions decisions will be made by March 30th, 2025. You will receive a letter confirming acceptance in a class at St. Athanasius by that date. To accept your spot in the class, you will return an acceptance form and set up an account in FACTS. A $300 non-refundable deposit will be committed at that time.
If admission is not possible, parents can request placing the child’s name on the waitlist.

Tuition contracts are sent out in May. At that time you will complete an online enrollment packet through the FACTS Tuition Management System and choose your tuition payment plan.
