Principal Carol McClay

Congratulations to our very own Principal Carol McClay, who is making a difference every day at St. Athanasius School.

The
Archdiocese of Chicago Superintendent Jim Rigg said today that Principal McClay received the St. Thomas Aquinas Award. He announced the news at the school-wide Principals’ Meeting, and said: "Your award is very well deserved…You are truly making a difference through your exceptional leadership!"

This particular award is symbolic of the highest standards of academic education, and is named after St. Thomas Aquinas, patron of Catholic schools. It is given to principals who foster excellence in education through a commitment to rigor, continuous improvement, and 21st-Century instructional practices.

We are immensely proud of our Principal and of our school.
