Each spring, St. A’s fifth graders take their annual Outdoor Education Trip to Camp Timber-Lee in East Troy, Wisconsin. This two day, one night excursion gets the students away from their usual daily hustle and bustle (including technology) and instead, immerses them fully in nature. While attending camp, students take classes such as geology, aquatic study, animal encounter, wilderness survival and leather crafting. Students also experience nighttime activities such as a Nature Game Show, night hike and roasting marshmallows around a campfire. This trip is among one of the favorites of St. A’s students and alumni. Students love the opportunity to appreciate nature, and bond with their peers and teachers, all while experiencing hands-on science at its best.
